D&D 5E Read-along, zero preparation adventures: do they exist?

From what I have seen, the formatting in Maze of the Blue Medusa would really cut down on prep, but the adventure itself is so big and edition neutral it would require some prep anyway. A smaller and more specific adventure using that formatting could be low/no prep.

My group played through Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan (in Tales from the Yawning Portal) that way.
I'm running this one now as a one shot. I agree you can run it with minimal prep. There are a few rooms that are a little complex so it helps to read ahead at least to whatever rooms you think they can get to in the next session.

I'm running it on roll20. They sell all the TftYP adventures individually for about $9 each. Once you get used to the application, it's pretty seamless to run it.

A zero prep adventure would require an A-Z story with fixed points in-between. PC's are never thoughtful enough to follow such a predestined path.

I only run published adventures and I only spend 30-60 minutes before the session reading up on it.

I read all of the minor rooms on the fly. I read the description then I read through the important part of the DM section as the players decide what they're doing.

No one notices and it is more interesting for me this way.
