Read Perdido Street Station and The Scar by China Mieville

I just finished Perdidio Street Station last night and I'm starting The Scar in 30 minutes when I go on my lunch.

I'd love to see the Slake Moths as D20 monsters. Ans some of the races were really well done. All around it was a great read. If he does do an Encyclopedia Bas-Lag I'd love to see it. There was a lot of background in the book that I'd like to learn more about.

He's every bit as articulate as you'd expect from his brilliant novels, and was very open about the influence D&D and other rpgs have had on his writing.

Actually, another question I had was whether he mostly DM'ed or was mostly a PC. If he was mostly a PC, I bet we owe his DM a vote of thanks also for some of the incredibly imaginative and strange things that go on in the book. I'd be curious to see the run notes on the campaign he played in. ;-)
