OK, so may not simultaneous in a strict sense, but nearly so...
Recently I finally started reading James Corey's book series "The Expanse" (starting with Leviathan Wakes).
I also noticed this was a series on Amazon Prime, so decided to start watching that too.
Now I'm trying to pace the reading and watching so they are more or less happening simultaneously. I'm finding it a pretty interesting experience, first reading the original works, then seeing how the show writers converted the works to serial format. There are of course changes in the scenes, but so far at least (a couple of episodes and several chapiters in), they really are complementing each other. For example, I like the show's take on some of the characters, while I appreciated the greater context and detail within the books.
Anyone else do this? If so, with what books/shows?
