Real Life (TM) Encounter Lengths

Howdy.

I read an article not to long ago giving a rule of thumb when determining how man Real Life (TM) hours an encounter would take. It had things like "if you double the number, then the time increases by X." That sort of stuff.

Does anyone know where I could find this reference?

I think this might be what you're looking for. Try Dragon #301 page 94. It's written by Monte Cook called "Preparing Large Encounters"
