At least the guy picked a costume that was physiologically possible. Some of those transformers required heads that would go inside the chest cavity in order to convert. That would have been... well, painful.

He needs to find a motor, like a treadmill motor, or something, and make it so that it turns the wheels, and then he could drive it.

10 gold pieces says that we see that enhancement at some point down the future. Any guy with that much free time ain't gonna just stop!
Nah. All he needs is a set of trolley/inline wheels, four on his chestplate, and one on each of his knees.

This was from Wizard Magazine's Halloween costume contest 3-4 years ago, iirc. I used to have that issue, but I ended up selling nearly all (read 99.9%) of my comics collection.

Is that a glottal stop?

Nope, abbreviation, like in "don't". As a diehard linguistic pedant on some issues, I'll more frequently refer to it as "All Hallows' Eve" (the night before All Saint's Day, which at one point was New Years' Day; thus, the preceding night was a "hole" between years, when supernatural villainy could emerge upon the world, and people went about masked to fool the greeblies into thinking they were even bigger greeblies; this tradition probably predates All Saint's Day, but got a new name in All Hallow's Eve, then Hallow's Evening, then Hallowe'en, etc), but I felt like being comprehensible. Plus it gave me a chance to Educate The Populace when they queried me on the topic.

I have to say, I doubt that any ghoul or goblin would want to stand up to the awesome power of the Decepticons. So the principle of the occasion remains intact.

I dunno. They seem tame by vile standard. How about Stephen King write about the spirit of Christine possessing Starscream?

I always thought Megatron's lackeys just considered human-level entities to be like ants. (I even detect patronisation in Optimus Prime's voice whenever he talks to humans, and the Decepticons are quite the opposite of his outlook.) Throwing a spirit with a mad-on for humans into them is both pathetic and... quite deadly at the same time.

I mean, against goblins you can at least swing a 2x4 at their head. Against Decepticons, you look out your window... look up... and think 'that's quite a big metal knee'.

Actually, Mask sorta invented trick or treating. His version doesn't require a special day, and usually leaves a trail of bodies behind, though. ;)
