Legend
When the Devil refuses to offer Sam any help on capturing the latest escaped soul, the gang turns to Gladys for help. Gladys then takes the guys to her demon friend Dennis who at first refuses to help but later on offers Sam a homemade vessel because he feels sorry that his parents sold his soul to the Devil. Meanwhile, Andi's ex-boyfriend Greg returns and Sam discovers that he has a plan to get her back.
So, what are your thoughts on the episode?
Again, I liked it. In a way, it are the small touches...
Like Ben not trying to hide his green-card marriage for his girlfriend - a typical trope that would have been employed in most other sit-com or comedic show.
I also liked Andis "ambiguity" as she was between Greg and Sam - She was never actively opposed to any of them, and Sam could always bring her back to her true feelings. It's hard to put in words, but somehow, that felt interesting - and unusual to the typical "love potion" trope...
I forget about the "Get-Out-Of-Hell-Card", and I didn't even think about it being actually usable for Sam. But as Sam put it, there is always a catch, and it would probably have failed in some way for him. (I suppose if it made the contract null and void, that meant that Sams family would look very different, and he might not even exist, or something like that...)
