The talking squirrel was actually introduced tonight. It was more of a hero like persona then I orginally intended but that's okay. :D

The obvious answer is that it's a shape-changed Demon Lord looking for some tasty souls to corrupt....

That's okay. Since I'm yoinking the idea, I'll make sure he's an annoying little bastard in my game. :)

Because she was a druid who was reincarnated.

Because she's married to the DM.

Because I'm playing in a game that slowly drove me crazy and I hated it and left.

"Well, a few years back, me and my buddies went off to take of this mad wizard. We thought we had everything covered, but when we got there... Well, if you think a talking squirrel is wierd, you should have seen what they became."

"Well, this one time, at band camp..."

"I'm not a squirrel! I'm just a really big chipmunk."

Um... That's all I can think of right now.

"There was a little girl who lived near the edge of the forest with her family. She used to feed me nuts she collected and she used to talk to me all the time. Her greatest wish was for me to be able to talk back to her. Enter the kind-hearted druid. So I can talk. Shortly thereafter the <insert tribe of bad guys here> came and killed her and her family. I'm out for revenge!"

"I found a copy of Common in Fifteen Minutes a Day lying around the forest. Mitzy the bear helped me post all the word signs around and within a couple of months I could talk to you yokels."

"The racoon taught me how."
