Rebuking Cleric

I'm starting a 1st level neutral cleric, and I want it to rebuke undead, but I also don't want to fail the rest of the party as the group healer. Any suggestions?

Use Cure Light wands. They'll cover most of the post battle healing a low-mid level group needs.

And don't forget that you can still prepare cure spells.

if you are neutral and worship a neutral god, can you not choose betwin cure/inflict and turn/rebuke seperatly?
i play a TN cleric of boccob and the DM allowed me to spontanously cast cure and rebuke undead, is that against the rules?

What you want is the Dual Spontaneous casting feat suggested by Sean Reynolds. It is here:

Talk to your DM and ask if your DM will allow it.

Or the Spontaneous Healer feat from Complete Divine. It allows those with "cure" spells on their spell lists cast them spontaneously.

No, you cannot choose. Yes, that is against the rules.

You need to read the description about the class in question, the cleric:

from the SRD

Spontaneous Casting
A good cleric (or a neutral cleric of a good deity) can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that the cleric did not prepare ahead of time. The cleric can "lose" any prepared spell that is not a domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with "cure" in its name).

An evil cleric (or a neutral cleric of an evil deity), can’t convert prepared spells to cure spells but can convert them to inflict spells (an inflict spell is one with "inflict" in its name).

A cleric who is neither good nor evil and whose deity is neither good nor evil can convert spells to either cure spells or inflict spells (player’s choice). Once the player makes this choice, it cannot be reversed. This choice also determines whether the cleric turns or commands undead.

well, i suppose i knew that all along, but i did not say anything as it only benfited my character (my DM (leshe-avar) did not know the rules all too well. and no, he never made any changes to the core rules, at least not on purpose)

Get a wand of cure light as soon as possible.

Take the Scribe Scroll feat and create cure scrolls (or buy them, scrolls of cure light are only 25 gp).
