Some bad news, I'm afraid. I apologise if I raised anybody's hopes, but we're not going to be able to use a more recent database backup than the current (Dec 29th) one. This means that 5 months' of data is, unfortunately, lost.
As mentioned before, if you registered after Dec 29th, 2005, you will need to reregister. If you purchased or renewed a Community Supporter Account during that period, please be patient - I have all the PayPal receipts, but I have to go through them one by one and reapply them manually. It could take a while! You'll be getting extra time on your account to make up for it.
There's a thread here on the messageboards about finding lost posts using various means, such as Google's cache. If you miss something particularly, that is probably the best way to recover it; please feel free to repost anything lost which you manage to find.
