REcomendation for a published adventure

My group has expanded to 7 PCs just at the exact time I'm travelling like a drug runner. I have little time to prepare for the upcoming session and need a good published adventure I can adapt for the upcomnig session.

The current situation is as follows;

The main group of 4 players has just discovered the main plot of the campaign. they must now travel back form the wild to worn the good folk of the land of coming evil and war. However, I need then to make a side trip to meet up with three new PCs in a dwarven enclave not far from where they are.

The main group consist of;
Human Barbarian 4
1/2 Ogre Fighter 2
High elven Ranger 2
Human Mage 2

The new PCs are;
Dwarven Priest 2
Dwarven Rogue 2
Halfling rogue 2

Wouldn't mind a bit o' the dungeon crawl as a trial by fire to forge them toghter.

The campaign world is a homebrew so just about anything is optional as it will be reworked anyway.

Thanks in advance.

Insert gratuitous plug for Of Sound Mind, which I wrote. Still, it might be just what you're looking for, if you don't mind a bit of tweaking. Make the monsters a little bit tougher, change the primarily human town to one inhabited by humans and dwarves, maybe swap psionic effects for arcane, and you've got yourself an adventure!

I would suggest the Kingdoms of Kalamar Adventures, especially the story line in the Coin series (Root of Evil, Forging Darkness, and Coin's End)they are great modules, have lots of story and combat and are easy to use. They are also fairly easy to port into any setting.

Death on the Treklant Series

BluWolf,

I would recommend the "Death on the Treklant" trilogy from Troll Lord Games. It sounds like it would fit in perfectly.

The first adventure, "Vakhund: Into the Unknown," sets up the trilogy and ends with the PCs heading into the wilderness. There, they discover clues that the goblin nation is up to something.

Sounds like you already have this part covered.

But, the next two adventures should work quite well. "Dzeebagd: Under Dark and Misty Ground," is a dungeon crawl though a small to mid-size dungeon with plenty of room for additional DM input to make it fit your campaign. It is kind of a trial by fire, b/c the module attempts to force the players into the dungeon by using a goblin warband, who also just happens to be a war with a group of lizard men that live in the dungeon!

Once the PCs make it out of the dungeon, they must flee the area back to civilaztion to warn of the coming goblin invasion! Part 3, "Felsentheim: Dogs of War", is centered on that. The first part is a big chase scene through the wilderness with the goblins on the party's tail; and the second part is a huge siege at the first village on the borderlands.

Sounds as if you could make a few small changes and these adventures would be a perfect match for your campaign.

Good gaming!

Given the levels of the party (and the fact that I have limited exposure to published modules), I'd recommend Forge of Fury. I ran it for my group and it was a lot of fun. I modified it moderately to fit my campaign but I think it would work relatively well with only a few tweaks.

You should have an easy time motivating them since several members of the party are dwarves.

If you like, you could get a slight preview of the module from reading my story hour (linked below) but for a fun read and a more "true-to-the-module" look at it, you should read Wulf Ratbane's Collected Story Hour. It is the first adventure in his story hour.

Thanks Snotling.

I'm going to try and pick up the Troll Lord trilogy before this weekend so I can whip some campaign conversionon it.

Sounds like the perfect recommendation.

You might consider FDP's The Silver Summoning, as well; it would tie the dwarves' motivations and the "coming of war" plot of yours together quite nicely. It's written for 4th-level characters, I think, so should work with only very minor tweaking for a party of 7 characters at their levels.

Cheers,
Scott
