Your wish list of modules you'd want to play in/run

For me it's the darkening of Mirkwood for the One Ring 1e, (or maybe using Adventures in Middle Earth for a 5e conversion).

In fact that is the adventure I plan to run when I am done with my current campaign.

I also really want to run many of the old Pathfinder 1e adventure paths as they seem to have good reputations. But I will probably convert them to 5e (2014) or A5e.

I've done that for two (Carrion Crown and Iron Gods) and it was smooth. There are some conversion documents and advice here and on Paizo's message boards that I found helpful for the Carrion Crown one and I did the Iron Gods mostly on my own with no problems as long as you are comfortable swapping out some monsters and loot or reskinning things.

Yeah, I think it should be fine. I will just swap out the monsters to it's 5e version and recalculate the encounter difficulty. For unique monster I will use Sly Flourish's Forge of Foes to rebuild them in 5e. The most challenging conversions will probably be the loot.

I'd really like to play in a campaign based on Final Fantasy 1, because playing through the video game felt like pulling teeth the last time I tried. The visuals would be so much better in my head!

All my playing Christmases have come at once, thanks to @TheSword : he's currently running Enemy Within for our online group, and we're about 3/4 through this legendary campaign. He's already stated that, after finishing, he will run Masks of Nyarlathotep for us. It gets better; in out monthly face-to-face, he's running Drakkenheim for us to, which is shaping up beautifully.
I'm currently running Vecna as a first 5e campaign for the monthly group, and will then go old-school by running them through Dark Tower.

I’ve run and played Strahd.
That is one I'd love to run. Unfortunately, in both my gaming groups there are people that have either run or played in it already.

And thanks to Whizbang, The Stygian Library.
The Stygian Library is great. It can be a lot of work, or it least it was for me as I ran it all on the fly, making the rolls right there at the table. It's wildly imaginative and fun.

It's definitely one that wants a DM who's really good at improv or to have the DM do rolls ahead of time. I do think depth crawls are easier the more often you do them, since the first time is such a high-wire act.

High-wire act is an apt description of what running that sort of adventure is like. But there's a certain joy of the DM finding out what happens next at the same time (or rather, a few second before) the PCs.
