Recommendations for a Good Low-Level Module?

Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh (if you don't mind converting from 1st ed).
Wizard's Amulet/Crucible of Freya (Necromancer Games).

I recently picked up Idylls of the Rat King (Goodman Games) and thats another excellent (if tough) choice.

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions.

In case you care, I think I'm gonna go with NeMoren's Vault. It sounds pretty cool, although I'm sure I'll alter it a bit... I've already ordered it on-line and am looking forward to checking it out.

That said, from what I've read about Lost City of Barakus on line, that sounds friggin' great. I'll probably purchase that also. My only hesitancy with using it first is that I generally prefer to start campaigns off in a small town rather than a large metropolis, because its easier to instill a medieval feel in the small town (because, let's face it, the D&D-style walled city was actually fairly rare historically). BUT, if it is easy to up the difficulty for Barakus, I might try to use it as a follow-up...

Thanks again!

The new issue of Dungeon has the first module in a series called Age of Worms, and it includes a detailed map and description of a village. Suitable for low level characters.

My favorite 1st lvl module of all time is U1: Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh, hands down. The town of Saltmarsh is not detailed, but it's still an integral part of the plotline. The module has cool locations, cool NPCs, cool enemies, cool story, oh it's just cool.

The Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho, by Mike Mearls, from Goodman Games. You can get it in pdf format at RPGNow, which means you can print out whatever you want and write all over it, or copy n' paste to insert your own material.

It's a nice, really straightforward generic dungeon adventure, good for getting people into a campaign. In fact, it worked beautifully for me just last night! No railroading, no forced plot. I can't stand adventures that script the characters into the dungeons.
Nelly, you mind if I PM or email you with questions about The Lost Vault? I've been wanting to run this but would like a little feedback from someone who has done it already.

Thank you!
