Corel Draw. :)

Or any program that has vector graphics support.

Dungeoncrafter is a good free one along with Autorealm.

Not sure about urls to those products, so maybe someone else could post them.

But I use Corel Draw for my dungeon maps. (I use Mastermaze and have my pieces made in corel draw, so I can virtually arrange them and then be all set to play. -- you can download them from my website if you are interested)

Check out http://www.nbos.com

They have a free demo of their software that I think you will find very intuitive and powerful at a much more affordable price than comparable software (which generally have add-ons).

Hope that helps! :)

I haven't done it yet, so I don't know how practical its going to be, but I plan to use the Neverwinter Nights toolkit to create a few rooms for my regular game.

I'll take a few screen shots from fun angles and use them as player handouts.

I suppose you could take a screenshot from a zoomed out view as a dungeon map...

How about Campaign Cartographer

ProFantasy Software's product was the first (I think) designed for gaming. How does it compare to Fractal Mapper from nbos Software (which I haven't tried)?

CC2

I have Campaign Cartographer. Fantastic product. Their url is http://www.profantasy.com - there is a demo version there you can download.

But... a word of warning. CC2 is not like other mapping software. There is a BIG learning curve on getting to grips with it, and it is NOT cheap. When I bought it I had a big dither first because I really wondered whether it justified the cost. In the end I gave it a go, and having learnt it I think it's great. But if you aren't willing to put in the time learning it, don't fork out the cash.
