HOWEVER ... I posted a thread on Monte's Ptolus board asking if pre-ordered copies could be picked up at Gencon as an alternative to insane shipping costs. He said he's looking into it. That won't help everyone, of course, but it may be of aid to any non-US citizens who are going to Gencon.

Yeah, we're working to make this happen, but at this point I'm not going to promise anything. It's a big logistical endeavor.

I almost pre-paid today. I'll wait until I hear more about the Delver's Guild website. Paying $130.30 (shipping included) is going to be a hard sell. I might wait till I read some reviews come next May when it starts coming out in PDF.

I have till June 30, 2006 to pre-pay.

I figure White Wolf will be sending us passwords and information when the site is ready. Which reminds me, is there any word on when the site will be open for business?

One thing I'll be watching closely in May is to see how White Wolf handles shipping the player's guides. I wasn't completely certain but I suspect the $15 I paid for shipping includes both the May and August shipments.

I just stumbled across this thread and I was happy that I did.

I just out in a pre-order for two of them using the installment plan.

I can then have one to use and then I cna put the ohter one next to my other book that was signed by Monte (Beyond Countless Doorways)

Me be a Happy Gamer.


Mind you I might put all of the signed copies away for safe keeping and just go out and buy another one when they come out.

I started to go with installments and then just settled on the full pre-pay. This way I don't have to think about anything until the book arrives next year.

I did the same. This way I forget about it and it will feel like an early B-Day gift next summer.

As of last night I was all set to buy this book. Then, this morning on a whim I decided to read this thread. I'm also Canadian, now that I've realized that it suddenly becomes almost twice the price for me, it has become too expensive to justify... This is really sad cause I think that Ptolus is going to be amazing and I've love to have a copy - with the pre-order goodies too.

Please let us know Monte if you do come up with a solution for us friendly northern neighbours and I'll gladly add my name to the list of pre-orders!
