Appearance/Personality: Megan is tall and slender, with waist-length honey-blond hair and piercing sky-blue eyes. Her personality can be summed up in one word: intense. She is a crusader, out to save humanity from itself. Defend the helpless, feed the hungry, cloth the naked… ect. She considers herself to be a warrior for justice who happens to be female, if gender is relevant to a situation she is a woman – not a girl, chick, babe, or any other demeaning endearment often substituted. She is not, however, a feminist; in her opinion most feminists are just male-chauvinist-pigs in skirts & pumps. Her wardrobe consists of blue jeans and flannel, T-shirts and tennis-shoes, a beat up brown leather bomber jacket, and an endless progression of boots; she dresses in earth tones – brown, green, blue – and muted colors. She does not wear make-up or spend much time on her hair (it’s strait as rain & she wears it all one length – without bangs).

Background/History:Megan’s father was a Chicago police officer, killed in the line of duty when she was eleven years old. Her mother never re-married & Megan has no siblings. She does have a large number of cousins, aunts, and uncles who live in her mother’s neighborhood. The extended family is both a help and a hindrance; willing to help when asked, but offering opinions and assistance when they’re not wanted as well. She was raised Catholic, but has not seen the inside of a church for years. She is deeply spiritual and seeks the inner truth and beauty that she believes is in every living thing.
When she was 14 she contracted a rare virus and was ill for about six months with severe fevers and migraine headaches. She was often overwhelmed by the sensitivity of her senses and struggled to maintain her grip on reality. Her physician warned that the high fevers could do permanent damage to her senses, especially the sense of sight (which is the easiest sense to quantify). Contrary to his prediction, Megan’s eyesight remained keen – and actually improved after her recovery. She learned a modicum of control and is no longer overwhelmed when her vision sharpens or ‘zooms in’ on details. Megan quickly realized that any comments made to her mother about the unusual gift were met with concern and worry… so she learned to keep her differences to herself.
After high school and college, Megan joined the police force. The constant anti-female attitudes and corruption of the justice system drove her away after 18 months. She began looking for others with special gifts or unique skills to aid her… for the first time, she began to think of her differences as a blessing rather than a deficit; a tool that could be used and did not need to be kept hidden. Her prowess on the shooting range earned her the nickname ‘Eagle-Eye,’ from fellow police officers; but in her heart she is Vista – with a panoramic view in both the concrete and abstract sense and an eye for details. She sees the world as it is, but also as it could be & strives to make it a better place.

Not sure how you want HP, action points, or wealth (also gear). If possible Megan will have at least one (pref. two) Glock 20 handguns {second choice would be Berretta 92Fs}, a pair of concealed carry holsters, extra ammo, box magazines, and suppressors.

This is probably the last edition of the Dragon Keeper. Note that I replaced the Partial Manifestation ability with Enraged Manifestation, which manifests an angry Dragon but lasts only a short while. If that's okay with you I'll just get to statting Matt.

Tanstaafl: Starting character level has been upgraded to 4...

Re: HP... Take average, but still max on first, and round up on the final number (for instance, a hit die d10 character would have 10 + 5.5 + 5.5 +5.5 = 26.5, or 27 hit points, plus con modifier.)

Re: Action points, I think I'll skip the normal rules, and just say it's double your level (replenishing with each level gained -- so when you reach level 10, for instance, you suddenly have 20 ap) -- yep, that makes things grossly disproportionate, but you are heroes after all :) As I've said, I'm far more interested in you guys doing cool stuff than in maintaining meticulous gameplay balance :)

Re: Wealth... Just assume +8 starting for everyone (dropping as appropriate for purchases), although if that doesn't fit your character, you can exchange it for XP on a +1/500XP basis (note, this is a one-time deal, not something you can always do :) )... For instance, it makes sense for GWolf's character to be a little bit higher level (given his background), and a lot poorer... Hopefully this works for everyone. You can take 10 on any starting purchase, and take 20 (if required) for one item... Also keep track of the order you buy things in, just to make it consistent. Also, assume average rolls (3 for 11-15 above your wealth bonus, 7 for 16 or more above your current wealth bonus)... Henceforth, I'll be dealing with Wealth as normal (so put ranks in profession if you want more :) )

Oh, as for the wealth-for-XP exchange, I'll let that work both ways if anyone really wants to be wealthy, up to a max of +16. Mainly to allow for wishes in background, but if you really need to squeeze in some more wealth to afford that ultra-cool-item your character wants, you are welcome to take that route and start at a lower level.

psychognome: 48 point buy for stats, 4th level, and the above for character creation (8 AP, +8 Wealth, average HP)

If it's not too late, I'd be interested in signing on as well. The character I had in mind is a fantasy type, a Sidhe who was put into an enchanted sleep and woke up recently in a strange world. He only has limited access to his powers, due to a parting gift from a more powerful creature he offended (the same creature is the one who put him under). He can basically manifest as something close to his old self, but still not possessed of his full powers. His power is dependant on a magical artifact that can nullify the force restraining his fey power. Still working out powers, but probably flight or teleportation, maybe some kind of illusion/glamour, and light based things (he is rather radiant in his Sidhe form), possibly with enhanced Dex and Cha when manifested as well.

Edit: A couple of quick notes. As far as a super hero name, I'm currently thinking Luminary, unless his focus shifts more towards the illusion side of his power. Also, since no one's stepped up to the leader role, I can try to fill it if needed. He was a leader type when he was sent into slumber, so he'd probably be interested in trying it again.

Orochi - We'd discussed Megan taking on the leadership roll; which is something I'm still interested in having her do - perhaps your character could be a co-leader?

Don't worry about it, Tanstaafl. I must have just missed you mentioning leadership. My guy will just be critical and try to offer "friendly advice", since you're all just kids to his 1,000+ year old self. :D
