One problem that comes to mind to me, with regards to Divination:

What about prolonged, short-term precognition? Say, a spell that lets you see 1/2 (or 1/10) of a second into the future, and works for several minutes/rounds? Shouldn't that have an effect on AC? Or would it fall into a different school?

Ultimately, you need to choose to emphasize either flavor or function. If you try to compromise, you just end up with an incoherent, inconsistent mess.
