It is my understanding that an "evil" character who performs one of seven good acts must make a Will save or have his alignment shifted towards good. Is this correct?

If so, how many failed saves will turn an evil creature to good?

Bah. D&D is a game of dice. Go read "Lady Despina's Virtue" in the Story Hour if you don't think these new rules don't cater to absolutely riveting dramatic possibilities.

Actually, it is roleplaying. It's a quantifible way to tell if the Players are playing in alignment. And to have a basis of altering it based on actions.

Kai Lord, basically you get temptation and redemtion points based on the amount of good and evil stuff the character does. If one is higher then the other by your wisdom score or more you have shifted alignments by one step. All the points go away and the process starts again.

Actually fiends are discussed directly in that article, and it presents an interesting idea. I'm not sure I agree with the way it gets adjudicated though.

Then I must be blind, I didn't see them there at all. Sorry, KL, for bad info.
