Okay, third attempt at a good poll, I do apologize again.

My selection is GURPS for it's fluidity and many options despite it's faulty production value in its Characters book. Amazing game.

I run GURPS usually, though the group I'm in needs to have a D&D game for some players to stay sane, and we're alternating it with CoC ...

I e-mailed SJ Games about the book, and after I described the problem, it sent me a new book free of charge. The company just rules.

I still have to vote "other" :D:

HeroQuest :)!

Edit: I'm not talking about the boardgame, but the RPG, formerly HeroWars.

It would be in my top 3, but #1 would be Runequest (followed by Dying Earth).

I voted hackmaster. But really, that is D&D. So I should have said "other" and went with an early version of Gamma World.

No superhero games listed (other than Hero System) so I had to vote "Other"

Probably it would be DC Heroes/Blood of Heroes/MEGs system.

Cyberpunk 2020!!!!

I have to agree with Pozatronic on my favorite system being CP 2020. By far the best system for combat if you want realistic combat.

Just curious, what parts were borrowed from wfrp for 3.x?

Hi,

Lets see, Prestige Classes, in WFRP they were advanced classes, Armor class progression in D&D 3x is like Armour factor in WFRP IE the more armor the better. Damage Reduction in D&D was toughness in WFRP, Will saves are basically lifted from WFRP, intiative was lifted from WFRP and so.

This is not a bad thing mind you, the addition of WFRP into D&D I think helps D&D tremendously and its all good.

Unisystem -- especially the Buffy and Angel RPGs.

A very nice, clean, fast system.

And rulebooks that are actually fun to read.
