How long does regeneration last?

I searched the PHB and wasnt able to find out how long it lasted.

My fighter, using Boundless Endurance (Daily, gives regen 2 + con. mod), basically took off like half damage on each hit that was done to me...and by the time they got anywhere near killing me they'd either be dead or...dead.

So how long does regeneration last? Im assuming 1 encounter?

Boundless endurance is a stance. A stance lasts for 5 minutes, until the end of an encounter, or until you use a different stance.

I actually have another question about Boundless Endurance: does it check for bloodied when first activated, at the beginning of each round, or at the end of each round?

I mean, it can be activated even before you're bloodied, right? But the regeneration only kicks in during those rounds you start as bloodied? And even if you get healed to full hp the stance is still active (in standby mode) for the rest of the encounter in case you get bloodied again? (Or until you switch to another stance, of course.)

Yes. Boundless Endurance is a passive effect that gives no effect unless you are bloodied. If you are bloodied, you have regeneration 2+con mod. If you become unbloodied, you do not have the regen, but Boundless Endurance doesn't stop working. This is different than other forms of regen like the Longtooth Shifter who, based on the wording, loses his regen when he comes out of bloodied (and doesn't get it back when he becomes bloodied again).

Oh and by the way, healing due to regeneration occurs at the start of the round. You can find the order in which things are done on page 268 and 269.
