Having just spent nearly 2 hours sorting out registration problems, only to discover that about 90% of the people replied saying "Oh, I got the mail in the end" or "Oh, I figured it out", I'm making a request.
Please wait at least 24 hours for your confirmation email. Right now, the whole world and his dog is registering and trying out new features, and this creates a backlog on the server. You'll need to be patient; once the registration rush is over, people should get their emails within 5 minutes, but right now it may take some time.
If you're having trouble figuring somehting out, please ask here first - someone else may have run across the same thing and have the answer for you. You'll probably find that the question has already been answered.
Sorry to sound so narky, but I've just had to deal with over 150 emails that I didn't really need to.
