Reincarnation question&spell lists for O.A.

First Post
Hi! My first post, please bear with me.
Our group is playing 3.5/3.0 Oriental campaign. My character, Shen, is (was) 8lvl rogue with stats as follows: STR 12 (raised twice) DEX 16 CON 12 INT 15 WIS 12 CHA 12, with 43 hp and 110 skillpoints. In our last session, perhaps because Shen was overly confident w/his newly-improved weapon skills, he got killed. As we were travelling in ship, there were no high-level clerics etc. available. So our shaman (also 8lvl) prepared reincarnation-spell and I was "raised" as an elf.
Now I'm having trouble figuring out certain changes in my charactersheet...

First, Shen loses a level, so he will be 7lvl rogue w/XP of 24,500. BAB&saving throws go down, and he loses impr.evasion(grr...). But what means the DMG "loses one Hit die"? Do I substract 6hp? or 7(because CON bonus)?

Luckily, I still have my 7lvl charsheet, so I can copyskillranks etc. from there. And remove 1 STR(grr...)

Secondly, Shen now becomes an elf. So, +2 DEX&-2 CON.
Now doesn't Shen lose 12 (more?) hp? What about human bonus feat and bonus skillpoints? Or should I think my character more like "multiclassed" by race, so that I keep those things, and when I level up, I add only "elven" skillpoints? Like "human7/elf1"...

Being an elf is, of course, v.nice for Shen and his roguish skills...all those bonuses...but hp is really low, and so is Fort-save(our DM uses quite much poisons in campaign).
What could be done? Magic item? Multi-class?

Another question: has anybody compiled 3.5 spell-lists for
Oriental Adventures. I have the Dragon #318(?)update, but it was quite unclear and only gave some new spells anyway. Especially there is some trouble w/teleport-type spells (which are in OA spell-lists but not in 3.5 PHB).
I'm in need of shaman and wu-jen lists, but the others are OK too.

You roll 1d6 and add your con mod to the roll, and that's how many hit point fewer you now have. It's the same process as going up a level but in reverse, literally. I've started requiring my players to keep a character progession sheet with their characters. So anytime they have to "roll back" it minimizes the amount of time it takes to recalculate everything, and it helps keep the mistakes down to a minimum, as well.

no, just 1 hp per character level, 7 hp.

I think that's how it works.

Great Fortitude, perhaps?

Afraid, I can't help you on this one.
