Just a few quick questions about how reincarnation should work.
1) Suppose a PC is playing a seventh level minotaur created as per savage species rules. If that minotaur dies and is reincarnated as a half-orc, then what class/level should they come back as? Do they come back as a first level character? I could see this pissing off my players.
2) Suppose a human character is reincarnated as a creature with a level adjustment, such as a bugbear. Then do they gain this level adjustment for free? What if someone else is playing a bugbear, but has had to put a fair amount of xp into their race as per savage species. Aren't they entitled to be a little annoyed that what they have worked hard to to obtain has been granted for free to another player?
3) Which racial abilities should be received when you are reincarnated? Some abilities such as an orcs darkvision appear to be part of the races physiology, but others such as a dwarves bonus against giants represent the effects of training and perhaps shouldn't be received. Are there any clear guidelines on this?
Thanks,
Chris
