Relics & Rituals I and II in 3.5

Oooh, suggesting the MT is overpowered. Now that's an astonishing conclusion that nobody else has dared utter...

And your the unquestioning neophile who failed to see any problem with ELH.

Oh, many have claimed the MT overpowered, but I have yet to see a serious, comprehensive analysis that supports it.

And I do question some elements of the ELH, namely Epic Spellcasting and the Epic Setting. The difference between you and I is that I accepted it as a rulebook and not a fluff-fest...

So Nightfall...

Is there anything official coming down the pipe from White Wolf on this?

Or any core-fan consensus developing over in the secret cult forums or something?

If I knew anything regarding your question arc, I'd tell you.

So, you missed my posts on the subject then? ;)

Edit: Okay, how about this. Instead of you standing on the implication that I am somehow wrong because I disagree with your fastly held beliefs that have been disputed in the past, how about we turned to the subject at hand as a litmus test:

Give me an analysis showing that Summon (Specific Creature) is balanced compared to a Summon Monster spell of the same level. Have fun. :)

Uh, no, I've seen them, but none of the arguments for the prc being overpowered has delt with relevant issues of TIME and thus oppurtunity cost, the reduction in power of many key buffs, and the diminishing return of buffs, i.e. non stacking enhancements. And then there explicit costs such as being a spell level behind, SR, loss of bonuse feats, etc....And SKR's 'analysis' was a joke that didn't make me laugh.... ;)

It all reminded me of the half-assed arguments for Spellfire being overpowered.

Ok, elaborate on this. What are you referring to when you say 'Summon (Specific Creature)'?

It's a spell in relics & rituals 2. Are you not familiar with it? If not, why were you questioning my judgement on the book? Just because you hold a grudge against me?

So, not only am I worthy of your derision because I disagree with you, but SKR had earned your ire for daring to disagree with you as well.

Suffice it to say that I think there are key issues YOU aren't considering. Obviously, you are convinced and nothing I say will change that. But I have better thing to do that waste my time or derail this thread arguing with someone who has a axe to grind because I disagreed with him in the past. Feel free to bump one of the MT threads if you are really interested in arguing it.

Ah, my bad. I was confused, I thought you were referring to the MT's balance. The initial comment was just a joke. I apologize.

Um...to be honest, you're the one who first threw out the "rolling eyes" and elevated the discussion between yourself and jasamcarl into antagonism.

I don't know what history you two have, but you really come off as arrogant by what you posted and come off worst from the exchange.
