My friend thalmin and I broke out the DUNGEON! game last year for an evening of fun.

All of my Dungeon! experience is with playing the version for the Apple II+.

Yes - I remember the Dungeon board game. Loved it. But I was playing DnD before I played it....

Actually, I played Dungeon! with my wife and two eldest children just a few days ago.

My brother and I loved that game (although the original wrinkly vinyl board was teh suck) and played probably thousands of games growing up, with our Monty Haulesque "clean out" version where, yes, we would clear the whole dungeon. We also used the (official) variant where wizards could use magical swords in return for using fewer spells, but not the halfling class from The Strategic Review.
