Okay, I have a stupid question...do you mean the young adult novel series by John Christopher? (Which apparently has a prequel that I never heard of...dang you Amazon!)

So you're talking about the tv series being completed in this case? Cause the book series was completed long ago - The City of Gold and Lead, The Pool of Fire, and When the Tripods Came. I recall liking the books a lot way back when.

A quick google of the tv series shows that the BBC produced series 1 and 2 around 1985.
The BBC produced the show and here's a link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/ilove/tv/tripods/intro.shtml.
In short, don't expect season 3 - unless they redo the whole series from scratch.

Wow, childhood flashbacks! I originally got into this series because Boy's Life adapted them in comic form. I know I read the first book back in 4th grade but I don't think I ever finished the series. Going to have to see if the library has them next time I go.

I didn't know this was turned into a TV show by the BBC. Are they available on region free DVD by any chance?

And here is the answer to your question, look in the right-hand corner.

Its actually

The White Mountains
City of Gold and Lead
The Pool of Fire

and the new one:

When the Tripods Came

Very cool series, but I liked this better!

The Last Legionary read like a Traveller campaign!
