Replacing a lost arm

So, one of the young boys in the group I DM for (I'm the parent of two players) had his character's arm chopped off last sesssion. I'm looking for good ideas on how to either get him some kind of cool magical arm, or any other ideas you creative people have.

thanks,

Hand of Vecna. <Just kidding>

Short of a high level spell to regenerate the arm, your choices are (from easiest / least expensive to hardest to procure / most expensive)

A hook

A stump cover with accessories (plug ins of different tools)

A mechanical (non magical) arm, most likely clockwork

A graft (a number of source books have grafts - it wouldn't look like an arm but a tentacle or claw have been described)

A magical surrogate arm - I think Complete Warrior or Fist & Fury had a magical silver arm. Another poster has mentioned other sources.

Hand of Vecna (ok, I wasn't kidding......)

he's a druid, so no robot arms.
Then the choice is clear: living, animated wood arm, all Black Tom Cassidy-style.

Or I guess you could just let him wildshape into a salamander and grow it back (although, for the sake or coolness, it could stay all newty when he's in human form).
