I have decided to be nice to the 4E haters in this forum, because I have come to the conclusion that they are somewhat lonely, and probably a little sad.

I draw my evidence from the fact that they come here at all.

For example, I abhor basketball. I never visit basketball websites, or post vitriol on the various teams' messageboards with stuff like, "Why the Lakers are ruining my favorite game!" or whatever. Since I do not like something, I do not participate in online discussions about it.

On the other hand, I love Radiohead. So I participate in discussions on their messageboards. Its great. And, oddly, I never see posts like "how In Rainbows (their new album) means Radiohead sucks now!" or anything like that. As if, folks who don't like Radiohead have better things to do with their time.

Yet here is a site for 4E, and haters post hate. And doom and gloom. Why?

Why not just post happy stuff on forums for stuff they do like, like 3E or 2E or 1E or whatever, rather than taking the time to come to a 4E forum and whine?

Must be lonely...

Reason:
This is a great example of a deliberate troll, albeit one designed to offend 4e haters. That said, it's still a trolling attempt and probably needs to be locked or deleted as it isn't humorous and has no purpose past infuriating the obvious attack targets.

Hmmm.

I can see where he's coming from, though I don't think I agree that the anti-4E'ers are being overly bad; I think it was way worse when the forum started. I think a seperate anti-4E forum is a poor idea.

He's had some useful posts in other threads - I think I'd say keep an eye on it and send him an email if it happens again (baiting the anti-4E'ers that is).

Agreed! He isn't solely a troll, but he method of expression left a lot to be desired.
