People are clearly quite used to 3E if they don't think twice about dwarves not being small.

People are clearly quite used to 3E if they don't think twice about dwarves not being small.

Well, dwarves are short, but they are WIDE. Dwarves are considerably bigger than halflings or gnomes. They are tough and fierce fighters. I think using medium gear and weapons make sense for them.

I'm in favor of keeping the dwarf a medium-sized race.

Dwarves are obviously medium-size. Size is noy height. It's your overall volume. And, given that most dwarves are heavier than most humans...

Think about it : a coiled anaconda is only one feet high....

True, but I think, medium-sized giants like forest trolls are even worse...
