Request for Info-Question on Greyhawk Gods

Hello, I am a player in a new pbem game and have a request out there. The game takes place in Greyhawk, and one of the other players, not very knowledgeable about the setting, is playing a monk. He wants to find some Gods and some info on those gods, who to worship and follow. I suggested he come from Ket, as he wanted to have some tie to a semi oriental temple and background as a gaijin raised a monastery where he could become a monk.

I suggested Zuoken or Xan Yae, but he was not sure. I do not have the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, so would some kind sole post a link or the info on these two Gods so I can send them to him.

Here are some quotes from him to assist you. The order is of his own making.,

Don't know about a deity though. The Wanderer's are an
order dedicated to Truth. I suppose Knowledge would
work. But they're not warlike. They are capable of
combat(and are very good at it), but they're not
warlike. Although there *is* a warrior Prestige

like it could work. But Monks have to be Lawful, and
it looks like the alignment for that deity is True

If he is looking to be Baklunish and LG, then perhaps Al’ Akbar (LG demigod of Guardianship, Faithfulness, Dignity, and Duty. Worshippers: LG/paladins, guardians, soldiers) might do. Zuoken would work for the more neutral minded (Worshippers: N, LN / martial artists, psionicists) or Xan Yae (Worshipers: Any but LG or LE/thieves, spies, martial artists) would be fine.

I always thought the Flan god Allitur (LG/LN lesser god of Ethics and Propriety) would make an interesting god for a monk.

The problem with the Baklunish gods is that just not that many of them were ever detailed. The canonfire web site might have additional ideas.

Kareyev and JohnBrown, thanks for the replies amd I will pass them on to the other player. I do not think Alitur would fit for his PC, from what I know, but Al' Akbar just might. I could even see him going for Istus, as who is more for the could hard truth then Fate.

Nightstorm, I think your a silly bugger, but any Pholite that showed up would have a problem with the Paladin of St. Cuthbert.

You might want to visit some of the Living Greyhawk Triad websites for different regions for ideas. If you look in the meta-orgs sections you might even find some ideas for organizations and monkly orders.
