Wow, nice attitude. So, do you have a real problem here or are you just being an ass?

Close to a personal attack there Crothy!

He just seems like a very casual user. Relatively low post count (you and I both have more reviews than he has posts), but an old registration date (unless that's mistaken), leads me to believe that he's not too familiar with EN World, or if he didn't know how to enter a review into RPG.net, role playing game sites in general.

Oh. Well. Pardon me for doubting...whoever you are.

Well, having met Crothian at Gen-Con, I can honestly tell you that he is a brain-in-a-jar connected to hundreds of electrodes that allow him to simultaneously post to every thread on every forum. No, really, he is.

I don't think RPG.net for example, could make it any more standard. Go there, click on Write a Review and you're off.

Um, yah, but how about here?

If I go to the ENWorld homepage and look at the review links for today, I see that Joe Kushner is the author of a review for Lions Den Press: The Iconic Bestiary -- Classic Fey. I click it and it goes right to the review. Doesn't say who Joe Kushner is, what his gaming experiences are...nothing. Not even if I click your profile. I don't know you from Adam, or Crothian, or Diaglo, or any of you guys. (And Joe, I'm not slagging you...just trying to make a point.)

Are you a professional, and what the heck does "Staff Reviewer" mean? And why does it not say so?

That title may lead someone new here to think you do this professionally, no?

Yep...not part of the clique.

I'm a little confused. are you talking about writing a review or reading a review's bios? Two very different things. "Have a standard, well visible disclaimer pointing out that "really, we'll take reviews from anyone who posesses a keyboard and a little chutzpah" That was what I was responding to. AFAIK, both RPG.net and ENWorld allow anyone to write reviews and I know that ENWorld even mentions that most reviews are "fan" reviews.

As far as people thinking I do this "professionally", it's important to note that this whole web site is a 3e (that's 3rd ed Dungeons & Dragons) fan site. it's grown by leaps and bounds, but it's still in many ways just a friendly fan site.

Ooh. Nice attitude. Am I not stroking your ego enough for you?

Just stop being rude is all I'm saying. You made some good points but then posts like this really do you a diservice.
