So I was checking the synergy feats and I realy liked the nightstalkers one what would your opinions be how should I take my levels? Is there a sweet spot to synergy feats in general. I seem to be not great at using synergy feats so I would love a small primer or something like that.(both nightstalker in particular and others in general

For the synergy feats in general it helps to go straight towards them, so 3 levels in one class 3 in the other and then one each so you can get them at levels 7, 8 and 12 respectively.

For nightstalker specifically I'd start with Rogue (you lose too many skill and tool proficiencies otherwise), then go through rogue and adept as it fits you till both are at 3rd level.
After that rogue or adept to 4 and then the other one to 4 and you got the first two synergy feats.

By then it's your decision if you want to be a "magic" ninja instead of a normal one, if so, decide which of your two legs (rogue/adept) you want to lean on more and get that to level 8 for the final synergy feat.

Checking on which class features you'll be "missing out" might help with the decision.

Synergy feats are very cool idea but seriously gimp your character for quite a few levels if you do the intended 4/4 split. You are effectively playing in tier 1 until level 9!

I recommend asking your DM ahead of time to retrain your level 4 ASI when you qualify for the synergy feat. Alternatively, I’d offer to just skip the ASI until you qualify for it at level 8. You’re going to have a much better time being down an ASI than missing extra attack for 4 (!) levels.

Remember that A5e is geared toward higher tiers (3 - 4) of play. If your game is in tier 1 to 2 (levels 1 - 10) then you may feel these feats are underwhelming for the sacrifice you had to make. For these tiers @Sepulchre 's suggestion is good.

Another thing to keep in mind when using synergy feats such as the Nightstalker are which archetypes of the Rogue and the Adept you want to use here. Currently the Adept has 11 archetypes, and the Rogue has 10 archetypes listed on the A5e Tools website. Getting the right pair of Adept/Rogue archetypes to work together is going to be tricky for the Nightstalker. Do you have any favorite archetypes from either class?

Since the Nightstalker synergy feat takes care of the general "ninja" stuff you could probably choose the most fitting archetypes for "your type of ninja" from the 26 adept and 22 rogue archetypes for A5E (if I didn't miscount) without having to resort to D&D archetypes ;)

I must have missed this... I still have fun in tier 1+2

The number of Adept and Rogue archetypes sounds about right. :) The numbers and archetypes I posted earlier on the thread were from the Adventurers' Guide and the GPG only.

We need a new thread on what kind of ninja we would like to see in Level Up. ;) Class or Subclass?

Yeah, I don't agree with that at all (that a5e is geared toward higher tier play). Capstone features in a5e are generally better than 5e2014 and a5e give more interesting things to do at more levels. But players give interesting things to do throughout. Synergy feats, at first blush, seem like they could be for higher tier play, but, for example, the multiclass feat chains can be completed at character level 12 (technically tier 3, yes, but EARLY. And 2/3s of that chain are completed by tier 2).

I will say A5e falls apart less than 5e2014/24 in tier 3 and 4, so I'll yield that point.

A5e is like PF1 in that there are fewer dead levels in the base class. Nearly every level has a class feature that is meant to cover one of the three pillars of adventuring- combat, exploration and social interaction. This is meant to encourage a player into staying with their initial class instead of taking the multiclass route.

But if a player does decide to multiclass, the synergy feats are there to provide some compensation for the pushback of class features caused by the multiclassing. There is also the fact that synergy feat chains are sort of like prestige classes (but without the additional multiclassing into an actual 5 or 10 level prestige class).

A win-win for A5e?
