Yeah - we'll see. I'm not expecting much, maybe "all previous SRDs are now covered by the same CC-BY license, except the following elements, which will be made available under the OGL at a future date" and then listing all the same kinds of things that are being excised from the 5.1 SRD.

4e would actually be dead simple to do this with as its SRD is already bare-bones.

Yeah, so bare-bones it doesn't actually include any of the 4E rules. (It's basically a glorified index.) Providing any version of the actual 4E rules would require a new SRD.

Rules Compendium. All the rules, none of the content. Literally just cut pp. 38-46 and call it a day.
