That's Latin for "cool"
I originally posted on Monte Cook's forum that I bought the counters and that I liked them. But last Friday was my first playtest attempt.
The players instantly took to them. They liked being able to choose from a wide selection and they liked the monster counters they faced. When I first produced the sheets, on of the players immediately exclaimed, "How cool is that!?!"
We attempted to put them in small, clear plastic stands that were designed for some wargame. While the stands worked admirably, we had a hard time telling whose counter was whose. I eventually ended up putting monsters on stands when the party couldn't get a good view of them and placed the counter on the table properly when they could.
I can see where counters might be a problem for a large group or on a large table. I've also been warned that picking out monsters spontaneously is difficult. But I had nothing but a good experience with them.
Bravo, Firey Dragon! I'll be looking at your other counters for my fantasy game.

PS The Morrus counter was used by a player but, alas, the Piratecat one was not.
