review lost

S'mon

Legend
I spent about 90 minutes re-writing my review of Lost City of Gaxmoor; a chapter-by-chapter magnum opus covering every detail of this adventure/campaign pack in great depth. A brilliant piece, if I do say so myself. Then I post it - only for some reason my ID has been logged out and the entire thing is lost! :(
If it wasn't for the ...comfort... of my beautiful wife I'd be pretty darn annoyed round about now! :)

That sucks, sorry to hear it. Lesson learned, I guess: type up and save your review in Notepad or somesuch, then copy and paste from there.

Er, yeah, like I always tell my students. :)
Is there any way to stop it logging out my reviewer ID after a few minutes? That's what caused the loss, not a software failure at my end - it wouldn't accept the review because by the time I submitted it I'd been timed out! Also, I need to change my reviewer ID - it wouldn't let me have S'mon, so I went for Simon, only now people think Simon Collins is writing short rubbishy reviews (the Gaxmoor one was my first attempt to make a 'real' review)...
If I can't be S'mon, I'd like to be Simon Newman, my real name, please? :)

Well you can edit your reviews; there's an edit button at the bottom of the review you can click on. The problem for the Gaxmoor one you started by quoting Simon Collins, which started people wondering whether Simon Collins had an evil twin that had suddenly decided to split off from him...

Yeah, I had edited my Gaxmoor review into a multi-page extravaganza & posted it, when disaster struck! :)
Upper_Krust says I need to get back on the horse - I'll try to redo that review tomorrow.

I think this is a problem that could be fixed by altering the session timeout setting when editing a review. I'll look into it.
