Does Wizards really expect all of us who shelled out money and supported the 3e line to shell out more money for the same product? Please, someone at Wizards say that the info will be available for free online.

No, I don't think they do.

And it most likely will be put in the SRD, and thus, free on-line.

I'm just wondering who's going to write up the conversion PDF after it hits the SRD (assuming WotC don't do it themselves).

Cheers!

No. But I do expect Wizards to correct the rules whenever necessary to minimize confusions and ambiguities for newbie gamers as well as current owners (who have been giving Wizards some feedback and input regarding the current rules text).

Some people will pick it up, some will probably find a more affordable means (legally, of course).

No official mention. Besides, it's too early to tell, we have until July 2003. That should give you plenty of time to decide if you want to save up for the revised core rulebooks or not. Obviously you've made your decision.
