Revised Psionic's Handbook

Great Idea I would too. Include the Minds Eye stuff, and the 2nd half of if thoughts coul kill. That would do it for me.

W00tles, I'd love this.

What would be great is if it was 300-some pages like the rest of the core books. ;) Though I guess that's not really needed...but bigger would be better.

Though I don't think it would happen....it would be nice. :)

I would definitely buy this. No other books needs a revised edition more than this one, including the core books.

While it would be nice if it were longer, a revised book of the same length, with all the errata and balance problems fixed, and a few new options (PrCs and feats) added, would be more that sufficient.

Funny things is - the format I want for the PsiHB is much the same as what I would have liked from the other class books as well (I'd have liked them to throw more classes together in full colour hardcover tomes and had dropped the "cheap" black-and-white line, but that'll remain a dream).

Much as I'd love to see it (and I mean that), the PsiHB is the proverbial red-headed step-supplement of the D&D family. Don't hold your breath. ;)

I think they said initially they had no plans to do a revosed psiHB but I would like them to do it because I like psionics and it would show that they also will be supporting them after they revise the core books. Having them in the core books would also be great but I think that would make the PHB way to large, so I think they should just call it Core Rule Book 4 and not label it a supplement.

Besides, I am going to be creating a new world in a few months after I run a SL campaign, and psionics will be THE magic of the world. (If only to run with something totally different).

Has anybody seen the new psionics companion book from rpgnow and would anything in that be good for a revised book?

Wish List Item #1 for a Revised PsiHB:

--Fix or nix the psionic attack and defense modes. Make them useful, or replace them with something else (like psionic feats)

I'd been tossing an idea around in my head on mindscape combat for a year or two. . .

basically it was:
Will save to resist being drawn in
Once drawn in Cha counts as Str, Int counts as dex.
Otherwise counts as if on astral plain

BaB adjusted as ?
All damage is subdual, losser ends up KO'ed, the biggest advantage/reason people might use this is that it is timeless/or (so many) rounds pass/round outside at DM's option.

Obviously it needs some fleshing out and figuring out but the basic thought seems much closer to the works of fiction that involve such things.
