Rich beyond dreams (El Jefe Judging)

Phoenix looks deep into the eyeless skull that is climbing up towards her and shudders uncontrollably. Fighting thugs in the street is one thing, but killing that which is already dead!? Shaking her head to clear away the negative thoughts, she instead focuses on the lust for battle that is about to commence. 'Hesitation can be forgiven, as long as you live through the battle!', she thinks to herself. Finally getting into the mood, her lips curl upwards into a smile and the fire burns brightly in her mind before igniting and emerging from her right hand as her mindblade snaps into existence with a crackle of energy. To the sailors, she yells "Stand fast! Stay together and stay alive mates! All of you remember to focus your attacks on the same enemy to bring them down quicker!"

The sailors look at one another a bit apprehensively and after a moment one steps up to the well while the others take positions to support and step up should someone fall to the skeletons.

ooc: 3 can fit around the well with enough room to swing weapons unhindered. It appears that only 1 maybe 2 can come up from the well at a time which should allow your group to dispatch them fairly easily.

As the first nears the top of the well Phoenix stabs downward shattering the skull of the first skeleton causing it to fall and entangle with those below. The next to attempt to climb out is struck by Lookspring and then the sailor sends its head flying causing the rest of the skeleton to also fall and entangle those below.

ooc: as they are climbing out you get a round of attacks before they can do anything other than climb out. Your initiative rolls wont matter unless one actually makes it out of the well. Roll for your next round attacks.

Phoenix swings again at the next skeleton to emerge from the well...

Emboldened by the easy felling of the first wave, Lookspring says"These beasties ain't so tough!" He takes another swing at the next boney figure to crawl out of the dark well.

As the next skeleton surfaces from the depths of the well both Lookspring and Phoenix land solid blows while the sailor standing with them misses completely.

The blows landed solidly but seem to do less damage than expected as blades slid off the bone of the skeleton.

Redoubling her efforts, Phoenix slashes at the arms of the skeleton in front of her. "Keep it up! Don't let them make it out of the well!"

Slashing furiously with his handaxe, Lookspring redoubles his efforts to drive the abomination back.

As the skeleton is about to drop to the ground with another right behind it and many more following two large rocks sail over Looksprings head (barely missing him), not even close to hitting any skeletons but falling into the well and slowing their advance at least. Ducking as he attacks Looksprings axe blade glances off the lead skeleton doing no apparent damage and then Phoenix's blade swipes in an arc severing the things spine and sending the head flying and the body to fall back into the well entangling with those behind it. Taking the moment of relief the rocks and entangled twice dead skeleton have offered you look around to see 2 sailors searching for large rocks and another returning from the treeline with a makeshift greatclub (obviously a small tree he just chopped down). He moves to the well and replaces the sailor with the short sword. The sailor with the club looks fearfull although emboldened by Phoenix's knack for severing these things heads.

Realizing that the sailors might have the right idea, Phoenix decides to switch weapons. Grabbing her morningstar from her belt, she takes a swing with it at the next skeleton available...unfortunately the weight is unfamiliar in her hand and she wields it clumsily.

The sailor with club misses the lead skeleton, as does Phoenix after changing to her morningstar. Two more boulders fly over Lookspring, the first of whitch smashes the skeleton to small pieces showering everyone with fragments. The second boulder goes down the well slowing the advance of the creatures within.

ooc: There is still one skeleton close enough to the top for Lookspring to swipe at with axe. Lookspring is up to bat...
