How much would a Ring of Health +5 hp cost? what about +10 or higher? I didn't see anything regarding HP bonus items..

hmm, I wish I had one of those books handy. Does anyone happen to know the cost of these items? or the formula to figure the cost of adding HP?

Well, the item in S&F gives you 10 hp at a market price of 12,000 gp. It otherwise works like, say, bracers of health - meaning, for example, that you lose the 10 hp if you take it off...

And in Magic of Faeruan, there's an item that grants you 24 temporary hit points. Market price is 1,200 gp.
Once these temporary hp are used up, though, the item crumbles to dust (i.e., once you lose one of these hp, you don't get it back).

How about bonus hp squared x 120?

That lets you keep the 12,000 gp price from the S&F and also follow the examples where you square the bonus granted and multiply by some fixed number to get the price. Using this you get:

+5 = 3,000
+10 = 12,000
+15 = 27,000
+20 = 48,000

That looks okay to me, if you start with the assumption that 10 hit points priced at 12,000 is good.

You could always make an item that raises your max HP. That way you wouldn't actually gain the benefits of the extra HP until you healed them and you would then lose the extra hitpoints if the item was removed. They would then have to be recovered all over again once the item is placed back on the character. Nice and safe so you don't have to worry about alot of exploitation and it's resueable. You'd have to AdHoc the item cost though because I'm not seeing any type of listed bonuses that this bonus could be compared to.

Very nice. Use this together with my pricing and you are done.
