Ring of Might

Would a Ring of Might be any use to a Monk/Shaman that could already do 1d8 points of damage?

Magic of Faerun. It gives the wearer the Improved Unarmed Strike feat and they can do 1d8 points of damage when fighting unarmed.

As written it wouldn't... you might houserule it to increase the unarmed damage by one step...

Yea, that is actually what I was thinking as well. Just wanted to see if someone agreed. Thanks. Think I'll just sell or trade it to get another item instead.
