D&D 3E/3.5 Ring of Warmth Conversion to 3.5

I am running the 3.0 adventure - The Hall of the Rainbow Mage - and in it is a Ring of Warmth, which is not in the 3.5 DMG. Does anyone of the oh-so-extremely-knowledgeable-ones on here, know of a 3.5 conversion or a suitable replacement?

2.0 Core Rules Program said:
Ring of Warmth: This ring provides its wearer with body heat even in conditions of extreme cold where the wearer has no clothing whatsoever. It also restores damage caused by cold at the rate of one point per turn. It provides a saving throw bonus of +2 versus cold-based attacks, and reduces damage sustained by -1 per die.

I knew those 2nd edition Core Rules as Help Files would come in handy again one day. :)

Basically, throw together an Endure Elements Spell effect and a Cold Resistance 5, and you should be good to go. Or, better yet, using the environmental effects, just say that the wearer gets cold resist 5, and CANNOT take damage from cold weather.

Well, looking at the 3.0 DMG, the Ring of Warmth protects the wearer as if he had endure elements (cold) cast upon him. Looking at the Boots of the Winterlands in the same book, one of the abilities the Boots grant is protection as if from endure elements (cold).

So, looking at the 3.5 Boots of the Winterlands, we see that the boots warm the wearer as if he had endure elements; why not have a ring provide the same protection? So, looking at the endure elements spell, the wearer of such a ring, and all of his equipment, would be able to exist comfortably in temperatures up to -50 degrees Fahrenheit without having to make Fortitude saves, but is otherwise not protected from cold damage.

A 'Ring of Endure Elements' is basically the new ring of warmth. It keeps you comfortable between a certain range of temperatures. (If I'm thinking of the right ring... Stupid work firewall not letting me get to the SRD.)

Umm... is there a problem with just using the ring as written in 3.0? Is there a disjoint pricing issue or something?
No, but I don't usually have the 3.0 books with me at games and it is not in the 3.5 books.
