Ring of Wizardry and Multiclass Arcanists

Limper

First Post
Lets say your a Bard3/Sorc2/Wiz7 and find a Ring of Wizardry 1 does it double ALL your base level one slots? So before Att mods you would have 2/8/8 level one spells correct?

You're correct! Multiclassing allows for wider abilities at the expense of focus.

btw, what happened to your arcanist feats? Those were really cool!

yep

The way the description of the item reads I would say you are correct. Although it is worth noting that spells from high ability scores and specialization are not doubled but from your original post it looks like ya caught that.

On a side note, why the heck isn't their a ring of wizardry for o level spells?????

Personally I would make cantrip doubling rings of wizardry fairly common. They would be made by wizards to give to their apprentice to allow them to cast more spells per day and thus be trained harder.

Not sure, but there should be. I guess it's one of those items that didn't make it over in the conversion. I just found it again the other day while browsing through my Encyclopedia Magica. But for a ring of wizardry that doubles 0-level spells, I think 10,000gp might be too high though. I don't think I'd charge more than 2,500gp.

Topic answer: Right, all spells are doubled (written in the FAQ too).

Too bad that magic missiles from the sorcerer slots will suck :D

But it rocks for Endure Elements. As well as Cure Light Wounds for the bard. Well, I drift of.

Ring of Wizardry 0. Nice idea. Though I don't think wizards would give them to their apprentices to make them train harder... After all who does the dishes when all the apprentices are gone adventuring? I see no interest on their sides to make the apprentice finish his studies fast :D
