Ritual information

There is apparently more than one method by which a character of one class can obtain an ability normally available only to another class. One way is through feats. Another is to use another class as a replacement for a paragon path.

This.

Also, on the topic of Rituals, I can already sniff out one more houserule coming: "you can't buy rituals". They'd have to be researched and the vast majority (and likely all the truly powerful ones) would function like a scroll -- one cast and gone.

I don't like the idea of being able to go down to "Ye Olde Shoppe of Scrolls" to buy a book of Raise Dead.

Unless, of course, that book was written by Abdul Alhazred.

I wouldn't go that far, but I would say especially for more complex rituals like Raise Dead, you need someone to teach it to you, rather than just picking up "Raise Dead for Dummies" from the local Eladrinbooks.

I have a feeling the components needed for the higher power items will be the controlling element for those who have the ritual in a book instead of a scroll. We'll see.

I wish the word "multiclass" had been murdered in its sleep during the transition to 4e.
You know, I often find myself agreeing with you.

But I don't know if I've ever agreed with you more than I do right. frakkin'. now.

You think that classes will once again have stat prerequisites, like in older D&D-editions? Like, you can only be a wizard if you have an Int score of 13+, and to be a Fighter, you need a 12 in Str or so? I surely hope that's not the case...

Several of the paragon feats they have shown have prereqs of 17 in a stat.

Yes, but Paragon Feats is another class than Heroic Feats, and something totally different from Heroic Classes. That isn't necessarily an indication that you'd need a minimum stat score for a basic class, and to be able to use a 1st level feat. After all, to become a Justiciar, all you need to do is to be a Paladin.
And for now, nobody ever mentioned about minimum stat requirements for a class.
