I'd actually read about this phenomenon before; apparently vision isn't all located in the areas of the brain we thought. I wonder if this means vision is actually a 3-tiered event (optical stimulus > subconscious perception > conscious perception) or if there are separate pathways (optical stimulus > subconscious perception & optical stimulus > conscious perception).
