This is interesting...

I'm already hard at work on the beginning stages of something like this myself, along with Colin Suleiman and Rhiannon Louve, two of my cowriters from White Wolf and Sword & Sorcery Studios. :)

So yeah, I guess you could say I'm interested in seeing it, since I'm writing it. :D

The Penumbra Beastiary is supposed to have a lot of mythical beasties in it as well. The more, the merrier, as far as I'm concerned.

The Bygone bestiary was an awsome book from white wolf.

It was not for kids since the female things were often toples just like the old ilustations in monster books at your library.. and if a monster was lustfull IRL it stayed lustful. The legendary greecian white bull for example

I am interested. It would be even better if it included monsters from "later" urban legends and folktales, like the Jersey Devil or maybe even sasquatch.

*nod*

As long as they stay true to myth and don't let metagaming ruin the flavor (*cough*deities and demigods*cough*), it's all good by me.

And certainly the more recent creatures are also worthy of inclusion. From Aliens (Grey, Chubacabra) to Generic Monster (a sort of build-and-manipulate kind of beast, like the Astral Constructs, to represent the monsters from stuff like Monsters, Inc or Ah! Real Monsters, that's quite varied but somehow all the same), etc. it'd be cool.

So, yeah. As long as it stays true to the mythological sources, I'd be happy with it. I don't want monsters who won't fit into the stories they come from, just like I got gods who don't fit into the legends about them (riiight...Chaotic Good Aphrodite...).

Otherwise...you'll find yourself Mythological-Monster-A-Weeked, buddy! :)
