Ah, the joy of parodies. It's a great concept for a show to have 10-second to 3 minute spoofs of pop culture. But we live in a weird society. We can use the names and locations of movies and characters for parody's sake, but we can't actually use a song that's decades old, like the Benny Hill theme.

Oh well. It was some fun stuff. *grin*

You can get away with more stuff if you parody it rather than having the execs think you're ripping it off.

That's the screwed up world of America for ya.... :uhoh:

I like the Star Wars spoof. Mark Hamill is a good sport when it comes to parodying himself. The olny robot chicken one I didn't like was the tooth fairy and the murdering parents skit. Way to long.

The setup:

Linus (the blanket kid, I think he's Linus) decides he will FINALLY get to see the Great Pumpkin, by performing a ritual inside a pentagram and sacrificing an animal.
The Great Pumpkin rips him apart, the cops show up, they bury him, and the GP starts hunting the rest. CB only escapes by luring him to the Kite Eating Tree.

It was hilarious.
Excellent!

I think I turned it on right as they were burying Sally (blond-haired girl; CB's sister).

Then Marcie asked Peppermint Patti to "hold me" and it all went downhill (in a very good way) from there.

I will have to start recording this show...

I usually assume Hamil takes the parody roles to whack at Lucas more than himself. Kinda like a terminally ill suicide bomber.
