Robotech/Macross plus and now with jovian chronicals

I have Mekton Zeta! It's awesome, pity I have never played it -that finding players problem again... PBEM Mekton Zeta - Robotech anyone?

Don't macross mecha come out to about 10,000 points becuase of all of the multiplyers or have I added too many turbos?

Actually, Jovian chronicles would be a better model for Robotech/Macross than Heavy Gear.

I bought the main campaign book but haven't had a chance to play it. it looks really cool. It seems to have a more gundam feels though.

Robotech rights are up for grabs huh!?.
I wonder how much interest their is in this. The episodes are being released on dvd.

Yeah and there's been some discussion of D20 mecha rules recently on the OGL-D20 mailing lists. I'm guessing something will come along before too long.

Jovian Chronicles, mmmmm

Mekton-Z is kinda fun for quick-n-loose playing, and there's some conversions already available done by a friend of mine at:

Personally, I would go the Jovian Chronicles route. The construction system allows one to build everything without worrying about 'ok, I choose a chassis, then try to stuff everything in it'. Plus I like the Silhouette system a tonne... rules cover just about every situation and can get pretty detailed if you wish. }

Either one would be fun, of course. }:>

Man if there were some sort of D20 Mecha Rules published (or something with the Robotech or Macross line) I'd force my players to play it till there eyes bled.

I am going to try to run a Jovian Chronicals game. I already ahve the rulebook and just bought a GM book. To those of you who have played before I have a few questions.

How is the combat? I read through the rules but still don't have a firm grasp of them yet. Is it slow? do you get more attacks per round as in dnd?

Have any of you made other exo-armors? how did they come out?

what is the the real difference between exo-armors and exo-suits?

Any other information that you care to share I would be interested in.
