Rod of spell focus (evocation)

How much is two feats in a tree worth? That's essentially what the item replaces at the +2 level.
Remember, it replaces one feat for our campaign (and I'm pretty sure it doesn't stack with the feat--for someone who has spell focus:evocation, the item is useless). Spell Focus grants +2 in our game.

BTW those psionatrixi items are so cheap only becasue the spell focus feats have a far weaker psi equivalent. Regaining the 'focus' takes a combat round most of the time so the action cost is high on the psi feats

Psionic Endowment [Psionic]
You can endow your manifestations with more concentrated focus.

Benefit
To use this feat, you must expend your psionic focus. You add 1 to the save DC of a power you manifest.

Greater Psionic Endowment [Psionic]
You can use meditation to focus your powers.

Prerequisite
Psionic Endowment.

Benefit
When you use the Psionic Endowment feat, you add +2 to the save DC of a power you manifest instead of +1.

Very interesting, Frank--but wouldn't that make the psionatrix items better, rather than worse? It looks as if someone with the feat has to expend their focus, but someone with the item does not. When compared to spell focus, this item functions exactly the same as the feat, not giving an advantage over the feat.

Given the different arguments, I think I'll suggest to the DM that it's worth about 15K, double that if in an ioun stone. How does that sound?
