Rogue advancement help

Babalushka

First Post
Hey everyone,

To start things off, this is the first character I'v ever played in d&d, so forgive me if I make some mistakes. Right now, I'm playing a half-orc, CL 8, Rogue/7 Barbarian/1. The scariest thing is, in the current party, I have the second-highest hp and ac, next to the leader of the npc's travelling with us.
Stats are as follows: Str 18, Dex 18, Con 16, Int 12, Wis 10, Cha 12. I took two-weapon fighting when I created the character, and I have several different ways to attack. My ranged weapon is a magical crossbow, ATB+11, two attacks, and an extra d6 electricity damage if my shot connects. My most common attack is Rapier/Sickle of Life Stealing. But in my next session, I'm pretty sure I'm getting a magical scimitar from our bard, which gives one extra attack, combined with my natural attack bonus of +8 which gives me another attack at +1, my full attack would be +11/+11/+9/+1, I think anyway. I'm not sure if my armor is the wisest choice, Breastplate of Invulnerability, which gives a dr of 5/magic, but I also have a suit of Armor of Move Silent, which adds +5 to my already maxxed out move silent skill.

What I'm looking for is suggestions on ways to maximise my effectiveness in battle. My SA is already awesome, if I connect with all 4 attacks, it would be 16d6. Any suggestions on prestige classes, feats, or ideas on what I can do are always welcome. Next character I'm making is a Paladin, for a campaign being played over winter break, so any helpful suggestions on what to do for him/her are welcome as well.
