Rogue CA: How many ways ?

Is their a thread or list for the novice 4e player of the many ways that Rogues can get CA ?

I don't think so.

But take a gander at the list of conditions on PHB 277 and see which one grant CA.

Blinded
Dazed
Dominated
Stunned
Helpless
Prone
Restrained
Stunned
Surprised
Unconscious

So you have flanking, stealth, superior concealment, acting before an enemy in a fight and this entire list.

Edit : Oh, and the occasional power that says ; ''and you gain CA.'' ;)

Do I need to get the Utlity powers that will give me CA such as adatpable flanker, or will I get CA enough without them.

Then I can use the Utilities for more things like Ignoble Escape and Tumbling ie. running away, get myself out of the dodoo's

Here's a list by weem.

edit: Adaptable Flanker looks good if you plan to get into melee in areas that restrict movement, though note it only works for one Sneak Attack in an encounter. Utilities that allow you to shift (Tumble) or to hide (Fleeting Ghost) are also good choices for combat advantage.

I really like adaptable flanker, it lets the roge sneak attack from a much safer place, while the fighter is tide of ironing himself to the thick of things. Tumble can put you in a bad spot if you're not careful, of course it can also get you out of a bad spot too. I'd definitely go with one of these though, so you have some early combat sneak attack options before the rest of your party can open up the field for you.

Given the fact that a rogue often has multiple ways to get Combat Advantage at every level he gets a power, combined with the fact that other players will often take a couple powers specificly for the combat advantage for you, you don't need to worry too hard about getting combat advantage, it'll just happen as a natural result of doing what you do.
