Role Aids d20?

I know that mayfair lost the whole Role Aids, role playing bit, but with Necromancer bringing out some of the better, older groups, I wonder if anyone is doing this for Role Aids? Even if WoTC owns it, I think that they should use it for different products that wouldn't make it under the 'official' label of WoTC like the Demons, Undead, and the long awaited Assassins book that was killed before seeing daylight. Of course, collections of magical items, myths, and monsters would also be cool.

If Mayfair Games does not own Role Aid trademark and IP then who does?

Then again, who cares? :p

Mongoose Publishing, Fantasy Flight Games, Mystic Eye Games, and many other companies are more than filling the gap left by Mayfair. They can stick to their "railroad board games."

AFAIC, Mayfair has left the RPG business venture a long, long time ago.

I would love to see conversions of some of the roleaids stuff, the demons, witches, to hell and back, psionics, and archmagic. Does anybody know if WotC gave permission for conversions of roleaids along with their other D&D properties since they now own the line rights? I wrote them about it once but never got a response. Does anybody know the full story on the roleaids/tsr conflict?

Mongoose, AEG and others are doing similar stuff but it would be nice to turn some of the old roleaids stuff into OGC.

TSR and Mayfair settled their long-running dispute over Role Aids when TSR bought the Role Aids line from Mayfair. They bought all past, present and future material from them and Mayfair agreed to get out of role playing. Some of the material showed up in a few 2nd Ed products. I don't know if anything is being done for d20 or not. I guess it's WotC's call.

I'd like to see conversions of the Fez modules...heck, maybe I'll add them to the list of things I'd like to do; they'd be somewhere around #10,000... ;)

Wizards should license almost all of their TSR's IPs to other interested parties, most especially when they're operating under limited budget.

Of course, how much of each IP cost is the big question.
